If I were
a bird
I would flutter my wings
And fly to far off places
Of woods and meadows
And palaces and forts
Where today there is peace and calm
And quite which
Makes an ideal place for me to sit and think
And embellish my thoughts
on myself
where nobody is going to
from my world of peace happiness and joy
I would be lonely there
My voice echoing through the rooms
And come back to me again and again
For me to listen and remember
What I had said
But it’s a dream
As naturally a human being
Cannot convert into a bird
Except in thoughts and dreams
